Established in Echallens in 1977, RP Notaires practises a notarial profession built on guidance.
Our history
When Pierre Philippe Courvoisier opened his Étude in Echallens in 1977, he found himself in the position of many young country notaries, called upon to take on duties beyond the office: clerk to the Justice of the Peace, law teacher, syndic (mayor) of his municipality, and first secretary general of the Association of Vaud Notaries.
Out of that practice grew a conviction that still guides the Étude today: to take an interest in the wider context in which a party comes to sign an authentic deed, and not merely in the deed itself.
Appointed notaire honoraire by the Council of State, Pierre Philippe Courvoisier chose to continue advising, so that his experience remains available to those who want it. In 2020, Eloy Pellegrino and Michaël Rihs took over the notarial practice in the same spirit.
How we work
Understand before drafting
An authentic deed often binds you for decades. So we start with your family, financial and business situation, before discussing the form the document will take.
Explain without jargon
You receive the draft deed in advance, and we go through it with you. A question asked before signing is worth more than a regret afterwards.
Stay reachable
An Étude on a human scale: you know who is handling your file, and you speak to that person. Three offices, one point of contact.
See it through
Land register, commercial register, tax authorities, banks: we carry the formalities through to the end and confirm when everything is in order.
Languages spoken at the Étude
French, German, Italian, English and Portuguese. You are welcome to set out your situation in whichever language you are most comfortable with.
